Apple Inc. is gearing up to introduce a new low-end iPhone early next year, alongside upgraded iPads. The updated iPhone SE, codenamed V59, will be the company’s latest entry-level model, marking its first refresh since 2022. The new SE will feature an edge-to-edge screen, moving away from the old home button design, and aims to compete with Android rivals in the budget smartphone market, especially in China. With a price point of $429, it’s more affordable than Apple’s flagship models but faces stiff competition from brands like Huawei and Xiaomi.

Apple is also set to release new iPad Air models and Magic Keyboard accessories around the same time, bringing some iPad Pro features to more affordable models. The updated SE is expected to support Apple Intelligence, a new AI toolset, and resemble the iPhone 14 in design. Additionally, the tech giant is refreshing its Mac lineup, including new MacBook Pros, iMacs, and Mac minis, all equipped with the M4 chip.
