Microsoft is expanding its AI assistant, Copilot, by adding voice and vision features aimed at enhancing the user experience. The new updates include Copilot Daily, which summarizes news for users, and personalized reminders that will be introduced soon. Another feature in preview, Copilot Vision, can answer questions about text and images while users browse online, offering suggestions like furnishing ideas for a potential apartment. These updates are rolling out across iOS, Android, Windows, the web, and even WhatsApp.

In an effort to further integrate AI into everyday tasks, Microsoft also unveiled new features for its AI-focused devices, including a photo-editing tool that improves image quality and a plain-English search function for easier file retrieval. The new Copilot app will be easily accessible through the AI-optimized Copilot+ PCs, which have received mixed reviews since their debut. Mustafa Suleyman, head of AI consumer products at Microsoft, emphasized the shift toward creating AI tools that focus on emotional intelligence and user empathy, pushing the company toward a more human-centered approach to AI technology.
